• Broomfield House School
The project commenced with an ambiguous brief and the first task was to establish a clear development plan for the school maximising opportunities on the tight site. The project comprised a new single storey dining building, a three storey extension providing new classroom accommodation and extend play areas. The dining building provides a dining hall for 80 pupils and has a specially formed plywood structure, clad in timber with a copper roof. The grounds were extensively remodelled to modify the school’s many disparate elements, optimising usable play areas. The project was shortlisted for the Copper Development Association awards.
