• The Island
This development of 192 flats and houses is on the island between the River Brent and the Grand Union Canal at Brentford, and forms part of a larger mixed use site, all on brownfield land.

The buildings are arranged to maximize the number of rooms with views of the water, and the main blocks are built above an underground car park.

The site layout is an intricate arrangement of courtyards and landscaped areas, taking advantage of the views and the needs of access to the waterside. Architecturally, the scheme presents a modern large-scaled character to the canal, with the smaller-scaled housing facing the conservation area of The Butts to the east.
