Pont Briwet Bridge
The project replaces a listed timber viaduct structure in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is seen as one of the gateways into the Snowdonia National Park. The commission included the architecture of the bridge design, a new station, a small visitor centre explaining the history of the bridge and landscape architecture. The design aimed to minimise the apparent bulk of the structure using specially formed crosshead beams and textured concrete.
