A mixed use riverside development of 255 apartments and 22 town houses in Colchester forming part of the Hythe regeneration programme. The design of the public realm and open spaces includes the provision of a landscaped riverside walk, pocket parks and a series of linked internal courtyard spaces and home zones where pedestrians are given priority over vehicles. Robust materials and detail in both buildings and landscape reflect the industrial harbour heritage of the site. The scheme continues the development and regeneration of the riverside area in Colchester, which is undergoing considerable change aspiring to good architecture, urban design and landscape.
